Ghanaian striker Sampson Eduku has expressed his excitement about joining Ghana Premier League giants Asante Kotoko, describing it as a "massive step" in his career.
The 29-year-old forward signed a one-and-a-half-year deal with the Porcupine Warriors, bringing his wealth of experience to the team.
Eduku previously played for Samartex and Tamale City. He impressed in the 2022/2023 season with 14 goals and 4 assists for Tamale City. His outstanding performance earned him a move to Iraqi Premier League side Al Quwa Al Jawiya.
Speaking about his return to Ghana, Eduku said, "It feels amazing to join a club as big as Kotoko. This is a massive step in my career, and I'm fully aware of the expectations that come with playing for this great club. I'm here to work hard, score goals, and help the team achieve its ambitions."
Eduku welcomed the competition from talented players like Albert Amoah and Kwame Opoku, stating, "Competing with talented players will only push me to be better. I relish competition, and I'm ready to give my best for this great club."
Eduku's signing marks the second high-profile forward to join Kotoko this transfer window, following Kwame Opoku's arrival a few weeks ago.
