Ghana international, Antoine Semenyo, has opened up about his preferred position on the pitch.
The forward has been used on both wings and sometimes even as a center forward throughout his career.
His deployment on the left wing in recent times for the Ghana national team raised some eyebrows, with head coach Otto Addo receiving some criticism.
However, the 25 year old believes he’s comfortable playing in any forward position assigned to him.
“Seriously, I feel like I’m comfortable playing in any role across the forward positions.
“This comes with the ability to use both feet, I think. I’m comfortable playing whether on the left, right or in the middle,” he said in an interview with Stadium Astro.
“However, in my head the end goal is to be a number 9. “Maybe in the years to come when I’ve built the experience I’ll eventually transition into that, but I’m not too hung up on that.
“If I end my career playing on either wing, I wouldn’t complain,” he added.
Semenyo has scored 5 goals and provided 2 assists, for Bournemouth in the Premier League, from wide positions so far this season.
The former Bristol City man however failed to register a goal or an assist in 2024 for Ghana’s Black Stars.
