Ghanaian singer Wendy Shay delivered a night to remember with the first edition of her anticipated show, One Night Stand with Wendy Shay on December 30, 2024, at SoHo.
On the night, Wendy Shay and her band thrilled the audience with an electrifying two-hour-long live performance.
She performed a collection of her biggest hits, including fan favourites such as Emergency, Survivor, Odo, Heaven, Murder, One Man, Astalavista, Uber Driver, Bedroom Commando, Stevie Wonder, Masakra, Special Love, Vivian and many others.
Aside from her captivating performance, there were other stellar performances from her fellow industry colleagues.
The likes of Mr. Drew, Sista Afia, Olivetheboy, Sefa, and Safo Newman passed through and gave the audience spectacular performances they will remember for a very long time as well.
Emerging talents like Veola and Ivestunner also graced the stage to show the fans what they also have in them and what music lovers should expect in the future.
The event attracted notable personalities, including the flagbearer of the Movement for Change, Alan Kyerematen, along with members of his party.
There were also a lot of media personalities, and industry colleagues present to show their support to the talented musician.
While there were many moments to remember on the night, one of the most memorable ones on the night was when a fan, Kobby Shay, joined Wendy Shay on stage to perform her hit song, Special Love.
Taking on the persona of the 2024 "New Artist of the VGMA," King Paluta, Kobby Shay delivered a thrilling performance that left the audience in awe.
Following the event, Wendy Shay expressed her gratitude and excitement on social media, describing One Night Stand with Wendy Shay as one of the best moments of her career.
"I got to perform live for two hours to my fans," she disclosed.
She also revealed plans to make the event an annual fixture under the Wendy Shay brand and emphasized that it will be different from her other signature event, the Shay Concert.
