The Aide-de-Camp (ADC) to President Akufo-Addo, Colonel Isaac Amponsah is reported to be fully stable after collapsing while the President delivered his final State of the Nation Address in Parliament on Friday, January 3, 2025.
Col. Amponsah, who stood right behind the president, collapsed unexpectedly midway through the address but received immediate medical attention at the scene.
He was later taken to the 37 Military Hospital in Accra for further observation.
Responding to rumours that Col. Amponsah may be in great danger, a source at the Jubilee House rubbished the speculations and said he was fit and well.
The source said Col Amponsah only felt dizzy and was discharged in the afternoon.
Col. Amponsah has served as the President’s ADC since his predecessor, Bismark Onwona, was promoted to Major General.
He was an instructor at the Military Training Academy and with the Defence Intelligence Unit of the Ghana Armed Forces before he took up this role.
