The General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Fifi Kwetey, has warned that electoral offences in the just-ended 2024 election will not escape accountability.
In a statement shared on his social media pages, Mr Kwetey warned those involved in election malpractices, stressing that justice would prevail following the anticipated change in administration on January 7.
“Electoral crimes have no expiry date. After January 7, the time of reckoning will come,” he wrote, alluding to the party’s resolve to address alleged irregularities.
The remarks come as the Electoral Commission undertakes a re-collation of results for nine disputed constituencies at its regional office in Accra.
So far, results for seven of these constituencies have been finalized, with all being declared in favour of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
The constituencies include Ahafo Ano North, Techiman South, Ahafo Ano South West, Nsawam Adoagyiri, Obuasi East, Okaikwei Central, and Tema Central.
