Assistant coach of Asante Kotoko David Ocloo has resigned from his role after three years with the club.
His resignation came just before the Super Clash against Hearts of Oak at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in the Ghana Premier League last weekend.
Ocloo joined Kotoko in the 2021/22 season, working with head coach Prosper Narteh Ogum and John Eduafo.
Together, they led the team to Ghana Premier League triumph. After that, the coaching team took a break ahead of the 2022/23 season.
During the break period, Ocloo worked with Hearts of Oak as an assistant coach and briefly served as interim head coach. He returned to Kotoko for the 2023/24 season as assistant coach.
The rationale behind his resignation is unclear.
For Kotoko, they will continue work without Ocloo as they face Dreams FC in their next league fixture.
