The Institute of Public Relations Ghana (IPR Ghana) has extended its congratulations to Ghanaians for contributing to a largely peaceful electoral process in the recent elections.

Despite some unfortunate incidents that led to the loss of lives, IPR Ghana expressed gratitude for the overall peaceful conduct of the election, emphasizing the need for collective efforts to prevent such tragedies in the future.

The institute offered heartfelt condolences to the families who lost loved ones during the elections, sending thoughts and prayers to those affected by the violence.

IPR Ghana's statement highlights the importance of unity, peace, and ethical communication in the democratic journey of the nation.

Esther A. N. Cobbah, the President of IPR Ghana and CEO of Strategic Communication Africa (Stratcomm Africa), stressed the value of ethical communication for the progress of society.

"We all appreciate the importance of communication for human existence. What benefits humanity is ethical communication. Let us therefore commit to building our nation together on the basis of ethical communication in all aspects of our lives," she said.

She called on all Ghanaians to unite, regardless of party affiliation, to support the incoming President and new members of Parliament in advancing the nation’s development.

IPR Ghana also expressed its appreciation to those who participated in the "Speak Truth for Peace" campaign, which sought to ensure a peaceful electoral process through ethical communication.

The campaign encouraged political party representatives and citizens to prioritize peace and integrity in the lead-up to and during the elections.

Looking ahead to future elections, IPR Ghana reiterated the importance of continuing to foster a culture of peace, respect, and ethical communication across the nation.

As the country moves forward, the institute called for unity in the face of challenges, encouraging all Ghanaians to collaborate with the newly elected leaders to improve the lives of citizens.

"God bless our homeland, Ghana!" the statement read.
