The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has reiterated its dedication to using its victory in the 7 December general elections as a foundation for advancing Ghana’s development and prosperity.
Speaking at a press conference held at the party's headquarters on Sunday, 8 December, Fifi Fiavi Kwetey, the NDC's General Secretary, affirmed the party's commitment to responsible governance and the mandate entrusted to it by the electorate.
Mr Kwetey also called on the Electoral Commission (EC) and its Chairperson, Jean Mensa, to avoid unnecessary delays in declaring the final results.
He emphasised that the NDC is confident in the election's outcome, describing the party’s triumph as both significant and indisputable.
“We have achieved a substantial majority, and we intend to utilise this mandate responsibly for the benefit of all Ghanaians. With regard to the presidential results, we urge Jean Mensa and her team at the Electoral Commission to ensure there are no undue delays in the declaration."
"The outcome is clear, and we are confident it is firmly in our grasp,” Mr Kwetey stated.
