Former United Nations Senior Governance Advisor, Professor Baffour Agyeman-Duah has expressed that he was not surprised by the presidential election's outcome, stating he had anticipated something like this for months.
"For the past several months, I could hear some kind of earthquake about to happen, and that is why I am not surprised," he remarked.
He described the scale of the NDC's victory as unprecedented, acknowledging the population's clear dissatisfaction with the current administration. "There is no doubt at all that it reflects the extent to which the population has been unhappy with the president's administration," he said.
Prof Agyeman-Duah also noted the significance of the president's party's loss of traditional strongholds, describing the result as "strange."
Looking forward, he said, "Let’s see how the new shake-up in politics is going to unfold."
