The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has announced Thursday, 5th December, at noon, to hold its final campaign rally ahead of the 2024 general elections.
The rally will be hosted at Zurak Park at Madina in Accra, with the theme *“Resetting Ghana – Let’s Finish Strong!”* which underscores the party’s message of renewal and forward momentum as the nation heads to the polls.
In an official statement, Sammy Gyamfi, the NDC’s National Communications Officer, extended a warm invitation to party supporters, the media, and the general public to participate in the event.
The rally marks the culmination of the party’s election campaign, and Gyamfi highlighted its significance as a moment to mobilise the party base and energise the electorate ahead of the crucial election.
Moreover, Mr Gyamfi encouraged media outlets to reach out to the NDC Communications Bureau for accreditation, ensuring comprehensive coverage of the event.
The NDC’s rally coincides with a similarly timed event organised by the New Patriotic Party (NPP). The NPP has announced its grand *Possibilities Victory Rally* on the same day, set for 5 December 2024 at the UG Sports Directorate Park, located opposite the University of Ghana Sports Stadium in Accra.
The two rallies, which fall on the same date, set the stage for an intense final push as both major political parties seek to galvanise voter support in the run-up to the polls.
Henry Nana Boakye, the NPP’s National Organiser, issued a statement on 30 November 2024, inviting party members, supporters, and the public to attend the event, describing it as a *“historic programme”* that will be broadcast live across all media platforms.
The rally is expected to feature key party figures, including President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, NPP flagbearer Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, former President John Agyekum Kufuor, NPP running mate Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, and other senior party officials.
The NPP’s rally, like the NDC’s, aims to consolidate its campaign efforts, highlighting the party’s achievements and plans for Ghana’s future.
