Asante Kotoko has announced the appointment of club legend and two-time CAF Champions League winner Malik Jabir as their new technical director.
The Porcupine Warriors made the announcement via their official X (formerly Twitter) account, expressing excitement over the return of the celebrated football icon to the club’s technical team.
Malik Jabir, who boasts a rich history with Kotoko, replaces Sudan coach Kwasi Appiah, who previously occupied the role.
However, the club confirmed that Appiah will continue to serve as a member of the management team, ensuring his expertise remains integral to their operations.
Earlier this week, The Porcupine Warriors removed head coach Prosper Narteh Ogum from its Interim Management Committee, directing him to focus on his coaching job.
Asante Kotoko will be hoping the new appointment drives their ambition for domestic success after losing four games on the throttle before ending it with a 2-0 victory over Aduana Stars.
