The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has dismissed recent media reports suggesting a scaling down of operations by power plants supplying electricity to the company.
In a statement issued by the company, the ECG categorically described the reports as false and urged the public to disregard such rumours.
“These rumours are totally false and should be ignored,” part of the statement read.
The ECG reassured customers of its commitment to providing reliable and stable power across the country.
The distribution company noted that it maintains close collaboration with all power producers and Independent Power Producers (IPPs).
The ECG also highlighted its proactive approach to addressing operational issues, stating, “The company is always collaborating with all its power producers and IPPs and constantly resolving day-to-day operational issues as they arise."
The assurance comes amidst growing concerns about power stability. The ECG reaffirmed its dedication to maintaining uninterrupted service for its cherished customers and the general public.
The company called for calm and trust in its operations, reiterating its commitment to ensuring a steady supply of electricity nationwide.
