The winner of Miss Malaika 2024, Lucille Naakwaley King, has debunked claims that beauty queens are pimped by wealthy men.
She said she is focused on reaching higher heights in pageantry without depending on any man for financial support, emphasising that money is nothing.
Miss Lucille spoke in an interview with Joy Prime’s Roselyn Felli on Changes show.
“It might be, but I know that’s not what I’m interested in. I have my head extremely speedy on. I’m a good girl, and of course, I’m not interested in any of that. I don’t need anyone to try and woo me with money. What is money?”
As a committed Christian, she does not see herself ever engaging in such acts, believing that God has ‘amazing’ and better plans for her.
Speaking about personal investment potential beauty queens, Miss Lucille urged them to ensure they are financially ready before venturing into any pageantry.
She added, “Make sure that you know who you are and ensure that you are firm in who you are and what you believe in because you can be led astray. Your spiritual life will have to be on point because the doubt will come, and for me, it’s only God that keeps me on truck mentally.”
