The New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) volunteer group, known as the NPP Sweepers, took to the streets of Odododiodio and Korle Klottey constituencies in a show of support for their presidential candidate, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, and parliamentary hopefuls.

Led by Patron Sammi Awuku, the aspiring MP for Akuapem North, the campaign event, dubbed "The Big Storm," attracted a robust turnout as party supporters rallied for a decisive victory on December 7.

In a two-day rally, the Sweepers, comprising dedicated young professionals, were joined by NPP supporters from the BoysBoys and GirlsGirls groups, as well as notable public figures including National Service Authority’s Gifty Oware-Aboagye, and celebrities like Praye Tiatia, actors Prince David Osei, Kalybos, and Jessica Williams.

Together, they led spirited marches through the bustling streets, creating a lively spectacle in support of parliamentary candidates Manaf Sowah in Odododiodio and Valentino Nii Noi Nortey in Korle Klottey.

The events reached a crescendo at the Accra Metropolitan Assembly grounds, where party leaders addressed the crowd, urging commitment as the NPP gears up for the upcoming elections.

Supporters expressed optimism, with many seeing Dr. Bawumia and the NPP as the best choice for Ghana’s future.

In addition to rallying for votes, “The Big Storm” aims to engage communities in the NPP’s vision, mobilising supporters across constituencies as the party’s momentum continues to build.

The NPP Sweepers have hinted at taking their message across more regions in the coming days, energising a growing base ahead of election day.
