Founder of The Pitch Hub, Aurelia Abena Attipoe, has been recognised as Woman in Tech of the Year at the 6th Women’s Choice Africa Awards, held November 1, 2024, in Accra.

This award highlights her dedication to fostering innovation and supporting young entrepreneurs within Ghana’s start-up community.

Organised by Global Ovations Ltd, the Women’s Choice Africa Awards honours African women who are making meaningful contributions across various fields.

Aurelia's work in technology and entrepreneurship has reached close to 1,000 young Ghanaians, equipping them to start and sustain their businesses.

Since founding The Pitch Hub in 2018, Aurelia and her team have provided aspiring entrepreneurs with essential training, resources, and mentorship.

Beyond initial support, The Pitch Hub offers long-term guidance, helping young business owners navigate growth and sustainability challenges.

Through partnerships with local and international companies, the Pitch Hub has facilitated investment opportunities for the businesses. Her future vision includes expanding

The Pitch Hub’s reach to support start-ups across Africa.

In her acceptance speech, Aurelia expressed gratitude for her team’s shared commitment, stating, “It takes individuals who are equally passionate about a cause to carry a vision forward. I’m incredibly proud of what we’ve achieved together.”

She dedicated the award to The Pitch Hub team and the entrepreneurs they have worked to empower.

Aurelia’s impact is recognised internationally, with past honours including the 2021 Bank of America Responsible Growth Award and the Viewer’s Choice Award at the 2017 Global Youth Forum in Dubai.

Her leadership continues to inspire the next generation of African innovators.

Other winners at the Women’s Choice Africa Awards included Nana Ama Opoku, Deputy Managing Director of Consolidated Bank Ghana (CBG), who was recognised as Inspirational Leader of the Year, and Efua Ghartey, Esq., Head of Chambers at Ghartey & Ghartey, who received the Woman of Impact in Legal award.
