The wife of the NPP flagbearer Samira Bawumia says her husband, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, is committed to building a more inclusive country.

She said this was evident in Dr Bawumia’s role in the formulation and implementation of policies where all people irrespective of tribe or group have equal access to opportunities.

Speaking at the 12th Annual Conference of Tabitaal Pulaaku in Ho, she stated that her husband when voted into power would ensure the concerns of minority groups are integrated into national development plans.

“One of our most ardent advocates for inclusivity is my dear husband. Dr Bawumia has been at the forefront of implementing policies that not only focus on economic growth but also prioritise social equity.

“His commitment to ensuring that every Ghanaian has access to opportunities is unwavering.”

“Dr. Bawumia has championed initiatives designed to enhance access to government services and social infrastructure for marginalised communities, including access to education”, she said.

Mrs Bawumia emphasized that the next NPP government would undertake a comprehensive plan for women to promote economic growth.

“Dr. Bawumia is a strong advocate of women’s empowerment. He believes that when women thrive, communities thrive.

"He has articulated a clear plan that will foster an environment where women can access resources, education, and opportunities in entrepreneurship.

“Dr Bawumia will establish the Women’s Trade Empowerment Fund (WoTEF) to support women traders to start or grow their businesses, when he assumes office as President in January 2025, Insha Allah!”, she said.

She emphasized the governing NPP's vision of ensuring every ethnic group in the country is recognized, respected, and given equal opportunity at the decision table.

“As we look ahead, our vision is clear. We aim to foster a Ghana where every ethnic group, including the Fulani community, has a seat at the table—a Ghana where diversity is celebrated and not used as a tool for division. Together, we can create a society that respects and honours our differences while working towards common goals.

“The NPP government remains our surest partner in building a more inclusive Ghana. Let us embrace our diversity and use it as a strength, as we strive for a future where every Ghanaian feels proud of their identity and is empowered to contribute to our nation’s growth.”

“Together, we can ensure that the voices of the Fulani and all minority tribes are not only heard but celebrated”, she concluded.
