Patricia Christabel Kyerematen, wife of independent presidential candidate Alan Kyerematen, has urged market women in Kumasi to rally behind her husband in the upcoming elections, emphasising his commitment to improving their livelihoods.
On a recent tour of major markets in the Ashanti Region, including Bantama, Racecourse, and Kumasi Central Market, Mrs. Kyerematen spoke directly to traders, distributing gifts such as aprons and essential items for their daily activities.
She expressed confidence that Alan Kyerematen’s leadership would bring lasting benefits to the trading community, improving their working conditions and addressing key challenges.
“The love for Alan is real. Everyone says he’s good. Everyone says they’re voting for him,” Mrs. Kyerematen said. She noted that the traders she spoke with were frustrated by poor sanitation in the markets and emphasized that Alan’s plan to clean and modernise markets across Ghana would improve the situation. “Only Alan can save them,” she added.
She also highlighted Alan’s promise to establish a dedicated bank for market women, ensuring easier access to financial support. “His promise to create a bank for you is still on course,” she assured the traders.
Mrs. Kyerematen further pointed out that, unlike previous political promises made by other parties, market women now have hope in Alan Kyerematen due to his proven track record and commitment to real change.
“They have tasted the lies of the NPP and NDC, and now they know what’s best for them,” she said.
She reiterated that under Alan’s leadership, market women would finally see the development and opportunities they deserve.
