Afro/Dancehall artiste Kro Leo is making waves with his latest single, Somanya Flowers, a tribute to his roots in Somanya, Ghana.

Released as the first track off his upcoming EP, the song captures Kro Leo’s journey and celebrates the unique culture and vibrancy of his hometown.

Since its debut, Somanya Flowers has been a fixture on major radio stations, gaining traction and setting the stage for what fans can expect from his upcoming project, slated for release next summer.

Kro Leo, born Stephen Owusu on March 6, 1983, has been a cornerstone in the Ghanaian music scene for years.

His career began as a teenager, and his talents quickly expanded beyond performing to songwriting, executive producing, artiste management, and event organizing.

In the early 2000s, he moved to London, where he worked alongside renowned artistes like Doneo, sharing the same record label and gaining experience on the international stage. He also performed alongside celebrated Ghanaian artistes such as SBS, Nana Kwame, and Sonnie Achiba.

Meanwhile, Kro Leo’s first mixtape, released in 2009 in England, marked a milestone in his career.

Over the years, he’s shifted his focus to support other artistes, founding New Stool Entertainment and NSMF Global, a record label and artiste booking agency.

However, he made a powerful return to the mic in 2020, captivating fans with hits like C’vous which won him the Diaspora Afropop Artiste of the Year at the Ghana Music Awards France in 2022.

The following year, he secured the Diaspora Best Collaboration Award for his single God On My Mind, featuring Agye.

His recent collaboration with King Jerry on Ebaa Gbebo has further solidified his influence in the Ghanaian music scene.

Now with Somanya Flowers, Kro Leo offers fans a heartfelt tribute that not only honors his roots but also hints at the themes and sounds of his forthcoming EP.

The project promises to be just the beginning of a new chapter, as Kro Leo continues to bring Afro/Dancehall to international audiences while celebrating the essence of Ghanaian culture.
