The Ghana Tourism Authority has awarded Brynx Haven Guest House in Cape Coast as the 2024 Guest House of the Year at a vibrant ceremony held at the Castle Gardens, Osu, on Friday, October 25, 2024.
This honour comes just a month after Brynx Haven was named Guest House of the Year in the Central Region by the Ghana Tourism Authority at an awards ceremony in Cape Coast.
In a citation accompanying the award, the Tourism Authority commended the guest house for its "exceptional service, hospitality, and commitment to providing travellers with clean, well-appointed rooms at affordable rates." The citation praised Brynx Haven for "exemplifying excellence by offering a unique blend of comfort, culture, and value."
Brynx Haven was further recognised for its dedication to delivering an unforgettable guest experience while maintaining high standards of quality, cleanliness, and customer service.
“This accommodation establishment offers a real home-away-from-home atmosphere, with a comfortable, well-manicured environment, fully furnished rooms, and quality service delivered by professional staff. This impressive image has been consistently upheld since the inception of the guest house, making it the preferred lodging facility for both domestic and international visitors,” the citation concluded.
Accepting the award, Brynx Haven's Chief Executive, Mr. Isaac Hayford, expressed deep appreciation for his team, to whom he dedicated the honour. He acknowledged their hard work and commitment to quality and excellent customer satisfaction.
Mr. Hayford, an architect and building contractor with a keen eye for quality design, is already expanding the Cape Coast facility to accommodate more guests. In 2023, he established a branch of Brynx Haven at Ashieyie near Adenta, featuring boutique attractions.
A total of 36 competitive and honorary awards were presented to outstanding personalities in the tourism industry. Notable attendees at the ceremony included the Minister of Tourism, Arts, and Culture, Andrew Egyapa Mercer, his Deputy Mark Okraku Mantey, the Board Chairman and Board Members of the Ghana Tourism Authority (GTA), GTA CEO Mr. Akwasi Agyeman and his deputies Ekow Sampson and Ben Anane Nsiah, and members of the diplomatic community. The event was chaired by former Minister for Information, Madam Oboshie Sai Coffie.
