The Advertising Association of Ghana (AAG) officially launched its 2024 Peaceful Elections Campaign at a media event held in Accra today, Novemeber 1.
The initiative, named “SPEAK PEACE,” aims to promote a peaceful, transparent, and respectful electoral process as the nation approaches the general elections.
In his remarks, the President of AAG emphasized the critical role that advertising and media play in fostering peaceful discourse during the election season.
“Ghana has been praised for its commitment to democracy and unity in Africa, but we must not take peaceful elections for granted,” he stated.
He urged all Ghanaians to engage in respectful conversations and embrace the diversity of opinions that define the country.
The campaign will feature eye-catching advertisements across billboards, print media, television, digital platforms, and radio, reaching audiences nationwide.
AAG will collaborate with the National Peace Council, civil society organizations, and community leaders to amplify messages of peace and unity.
The AAG President called on media houses and citizens alike to join in this collective effort, stressing the importance of maintaining a harmonious environment throughout the electoral process.
"On behalf of the Advertising Association of Ghana, I thank you for your unwavering support. Together, let us make history by demonstrating once again that Ghana can lead by example, with an election season marked not by division but by unity and respect for all," he said.
