The Joy Sports Invitational created some sporting stars in the corporate space, and one of such is Irene Nyarko of the National Petroleum Agency.
The women’s table tennis final was supposed to be a stiff contest between NPA and ARB Apex Bank, but Irene had other ideas.
She claimed a resounding straight sets victory, and the outcome, funny enough, came as no surprise to her.
“I knew I would win the event because of the effort we put in before the games. We train twice a week so confidence was high,” she said.
Ms. Nyarko went on to urge other corporate organizations to sign up for next year’s Joy Sports Invitational due to the numerous benefits it comes with.
“It was a very fun event with lots of networking.
“I will encourage every organization to join next year, but they should know that NPA will always be champions,” she joked.
