What was expected to be a decent interview on Adom FM Dwaso Nsem turned into an argument between two New Patriotic Party (NPP) members.
The incumbent Agona West Member of Parliament (MP) Cynthia Maamle Morrison and the NPP 2024 Parliamentary Candidate, Christopher Arthur engaged in a heated exchange.
This was on the back of a shooting incident in the constituency during a campaign rally in the build-up to the December 7 election.
The banter started when the NPP PC, who is a former aide to the incumbent MP accused the latter of orchestrating the attack on him and his people.
Mr Arthur claimed that Madam Morrison is still pained from her defeat in the NPP primary and has been inciting her supporters to violence.
However, the MP fought off the claims, stating she had no hand in it.
According to her, she did not even see for herself the people who have reportedly been injured.
But it is her prayer that they recover soon.
The NPP Nasara Coordinator, Haruna Rashid and three others sustained gunshot wounds after a gun was fired through a crowd.
Mr Arthur and his supporters were returning to Agona Swedru from a campaign launch in Otinkorang when they encountered Madam Morrison and her supporters at Agona Nyakrom, who were also campaigning.
