Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the flagbearer for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has committed to constructing a first-class road connecting Damanko to Kassah in the Oti Region.
He emphasised that this project aligns with his broader vision for infrastructure development and regional accessibility.
Speaking during his campaign in the Nkwanta North constituency, Dr. Bawumia highlighted the critical need for improved road networks in the area.
He assured residents that his administration would prioritize the road’s construction to facilitate transportation, trade, and access to essential services.
Dr. Bawumia noted that the demand for better roads has been a longstanding issue among the locals, and he expressed confidence that his promise would address their concerns.
By focusing on infrastructure, he explained, the NPP seeks to foster economic growth and improve living standards in rural communities across Ghana.
“I know what matters to you. Pastors, Chiefs, and Imams have all spoken, emphasizing the importance of the Damanko to Kpassa road. I know that if I have to come back in four years, I must complete this road."
“If I don’t fulfil this promise, you won’t vote for me again,” he said.
