The Ghana Police Service and the Ghana Armed Forces have assured the public of their commitment to restoring peace and stability in Bawku, its surrounding areas, and along the Bolgatanga-Walewale-Tamale highway.
In a press release issued on Sunday, the security agencies stated that joint Police and Military teams have been deployed across these areas to manage the tense security situation and ensure public safety.
According to the statement, a concentrated security presence in Bawku and its environs is being bolstered by additional joint forces along the major highway from Bolgatanga to Tamale.
The deployment on this route aims to not only maintain security but also streamline vehicular movement and control traffic flow in the region.
The police and military reiterated their commitment to preserving peace, law, and order, reassuring residents and travellers that ongoing efforts are designed to protect lives and property.
“The Ghana Police Service and Ghana Armed Forces remain dedicated to maintaining peace and security in Bawku and its surroundings,” the statement noted.
This latest intervention reflects the agencies’ continuous monitoring and response strategy to manage unrest and safeguard public confidence in Ghana’s northern region.
