A 45-year-old taxi driver named Charles Oppong, a resident of Akyem Oda Old Town in the Birim Central Municipality of the Eastern Region, has been found dead.
He was found with his hands and legs bound together in an uncompleted building at Akyem Swedru Royal Mount Calvary.
According to information gathered by Adom News’ Kwasi Azor, the deceased left home for work on the evening of Monday, October 21, 2024, but did not return.
This prompted his family to start a search, which unfortunately yielded no results.
On Friday, October 25, the Akyem Swedru Police, led by the District Commander, Philip Nketia, was notified by residents of the area about a body found in the uncompleted building.
Upon inspection, the deceased was identified as the missing taxi driver, Charles Oppong.
Charles Oppong, a married father of three, was well-known in Akyem Oda and its surroundings as a good and reliable man.
His family has appealed to the Police to conduct a thorough investigation into his mysterious death.
