The Ho Municipal Chief Executive and Ho Central NPP Parliamentary Candidate, Divine Bosson, has indicated that re-electing the National Democratic Congress flagbearer John Mahama as President would be detrimental to the development of the country.
According to him, Ghanaians have tasted the leadership of the former President and were not satisfied with his performance hence voting him out in 2016.
Addressing a rally in Ho in the Volta Region, he asserted that Dr. Bawumia is the best candidate to lead the country to the desired level and hence must be elected as the next president of the country.
“According to Ewe and Ghanaian customs and traditions, you don't distool a chief and reinstate him, that will be an abomination. In 2016, we distooled President Mahama and he will never return to the Presidency”, he said.
He expressed confidence in wrestling the Ho Central Constituency seat from the opposition NDC on December 7th, indicating that he brought new dynamics to politicking in the constituency, hence giving NDC a run for their money.
“For the first time in the history of NDC, they are having a contest in Ho Central. Due to this, the National Executives have turned Ho Central into their sleeping place. If they like they can come and build in Ho. Whether they agree or not, we will defeat them in 2024”, he stressed.
He entreated the electorates to vote for the development and progress of the country by electing him as Member of Parliament for Ho Central and Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia as the next President of Ghana.
“On December 7, vote for Divine Bosson and Dr. Bawumia. We are No. 1 on the ballot paper”, he concluded.
