Traditional rulers in Akatsi have honoured Vice President and NPP flagbearer, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, for his significant contributions to Ghana's development as Vice President.
Dr. Bawumia, who has been campaigning in the Volta Region since Sunday, visited Ave Havi in the Akatsi North Constituency on Tuesday.
Welcoming Dr. Bawumia, the traditional rulers praised him for his dedication and efforts in revolutionising public service in Ghana through digitalisation.

"We acknowledge his dedication to public service, and his unwavering commitment to the country's progress is evident in his tireless efforts to drive economic growth, improve governance, and enhance the overall well-being of Ghanaians," said Torgbui Adogo Agbalekk, speaking on behalf of the traditional rulers, and flanked by chiefs and queenmothers.
"Under his leadership, Ghana has witnessed significant strides in digitalisation, revolutionising public services and enhancing efficiency."
The Akatsi Chiefs symbolically decorated Dr. Bawumia with customary green leaves around his neck, signifying their prayers and support for his presidential bid.
"Your Excellency, we are grateful for your visit today and express our hope that the Supreme Being will continue to protect you and your team as we look forward to the possibility of your Presidency. We hope our next meeting will be at Independence Square for your inauguration as the next President of the Republic of Ghana."
Vice President Bawumia expressed his appreciation to the traditional rulers for the honour, support, and prayers, which he said he would never forget.
