President Nana Akufo-Addo has spoken about the firm rapport that exists between him and his Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, highlighting the ease with which Dr Bawumia can access his office.
In a recent statement during his tour of the Savannah Region on Monday, October 15, the President emphasised that Dr Bawumia does not require an appointment or prior notice to meet with him, showcasing their open lines of communication and collaboration.
President Akufo-Addo noted that Dr Bawumia walks into his office at any time he deems necessary.
This level of access reflects the trust and respect that has developed between the two leaders during their tenure, as it is crucial for effective governance, allowing for timely discussions on pressing national issues.
The President further affirmed his full trust and confidence in his Vice President, asserting that Bawumia’s insights and contributions are invaluable to his administration.
This endorsement not only reinforces their working relationship but also serves to assure the public of a united front in leadership, particularly as the nation approaches the 2024 elections.
"In 2020/21, I was in my office when the Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia walked into my office and up till today, he walks into my office whenever he thinks is necessary. He doesn’t need an appointment or anything," the President noted.
