The Volta Regional Chairman of the National Democratic Congress, Mawutor Agbavitor has entreated electorates in his jurisdiction to vote for his party to liberate them from hardships.
He indicated that the NDC has well-formulated programs and policies tailored to cushion their lives and create wealth to enhance their livelihoods.
He said this when he led the NDC National Chairman, Johnson Asiedu Nketia on a tour of the Volta Region.
“There is so much suffering. Women are not able to buy drugs, our fathers are not able to access healthcare, and we are recording divorces because of hunger and hardship”, he said.
Mr. Agbavitor outlined the proposed Free Primary Health Care, Free Tertiary Education, Farmer's Center, and 24-hour Economy Policies as some of the policies designed to lessen the burden on Ghanaians.
“I remember my mother used her textiles as collateral to secure a loan to finance my education. John Mahama says that won't happen under his administration.
"So he aims to provide funding to secure admission for every qualified tertiary student. In the second year, you will be given loans to continue and complete your tertiary education”, he said.
He led them to pledge their commitment to campaign for John Mahama and the NDC to help the opposition party clinch victory to "reset the country."
“We must extend the goodwill message of the NDC and John Mahama to every home, market, church, and street, and entreat your children to send them to their schools”, he said.
The NDC targets over 85% of total votes in the Volta Region, hoping this would push it to emerge victorious in the December 7, 2024, general elections.
