The National Sports Authority (NSA) has cautioned individuals who wish to display "political or pressure group paraphernalia" at the Ghana-Sudan clash to desist from doing so.
According to the NSA, the Confederation of African Football (CAF) prohibits such political messages.
The NSA's comment follows concerns that some individuals intend to use the game between the Black Stars and Sudan as a platform to promote an agenda at the Accra Sports Stadium.
There have been claims that some individuals from the recent anti-galamsey protest intend to display their message at the stadium regarding the state of water bodies and the devastation of the environment due to illegal mining (galamsey) activities.
In light of this, the NSA in a statement has warned individuals or groups to stay away from carrying on with such plans.
"Any individual or group of persons who openly displays any political or pressure group paraphernalia, apparel or placards at the Accra Sports Stadium will be apprehended by the security apparatus who will be deployed in and around the facility," part of the statement read.
NSA advised football fans to adhere to all the match day security regulations before, during and after the game to avoid any form of arrest or sanctions.
The Black Stars of Ghana host the Falcons of Jediane on match day three of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers looking to get their campaign back on track after a disappointing start last month.
