Black Stars defender Alidu Seidu says he is determined to go the extra mile to ensure Ghana pick up all available points in the two games against Sudan.

Ghana face Sudan on matchday three and four of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers in a bid to get their campaign back underway.

Otto Addo side's has had a frustrating start to the qualifying series after just one point from two games against Angola and Niger.

Despite the shaky start, Seidu is confident the Black Stars can turn their fortune around starting with the games against Sudan.

"Now there’s Sudan coming, and playing 1-1 against Niger will serve as a lesson for us. We are going to give everything to beat Sudan home and away," he said as quoted by Flashscore.

Despite recovering from defeat in Kumasi to draw against Niger in a game which saw the 24-year-old score his first international goal, he believes the performance on the day could have been better.

“We didn’t start well against Niger. We lost a lot of balls. When I scored, I wasn’t too happy because I know we could do better," he noted.

"Playing in Africa means that scoring one is never enough. If it had been the second goal I had scored, I would have celebrated more; but it was 1-0, and I was already thinking about us getting the second."

Just like the expectation of fans, Seidu knows the importance of the games against Sudan but adds the team is handling the situation calmly.

"Tempers will be high for the Sudan game, but no pressure. I will try to give everything and enjoy football so people are happy," he added.

The Black Stars face Sudan at the Accra Sports Stadium on matchday three on Thursday, October 10, before travelling to Libya for the reverse fixture on October 15.
