The running mate of the National Democratic Congress, Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang has advised party members to embrace persons who hitherto were against the party but for some reason, have changed their position to vote for the party in the December 7 polls.
According to her, the party needs every single vote to ensure it heavily defeats the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP).
Addressing residents of Suhum as part of her two-day campaign tour of the Eastern region, the running mate cautioned against antagonising and heckling the converts.
"I have always said that the NDC is a party that doesn't discriminate against any person, religion, tribe and even people who don't share in our ideology.
"As we go into the elections, please and please, let's open our arms to everybody including members and followers from the other side who have changed their minds and want to vote for the NDC this time round. We need every single vote for that landslide victory we're looking for," she advised
Prof Opoku-Agyemang is embarking on the campaign to garner votes for the NDC ahead of the December, 7 polls.
In her message, she reiterated the NDC's promise of empowering women by establishing the Women's Bank aimed at providing financial support to women.
Prof. Opoku-Agyemang began her campaign tour of the region on Tuesday at Peduase where she met with party faithful and well-wishers.
