Election 2024: Kwabena Agyepong confident of Bawumia’s chances

Kwabena Agyepong, Senior Campaign Adviser to Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, has expressed strong confidence in the flagbearer’s chances of winning the upcoming 2024 general elections.

He emphasised that Dr Bawumia's extensive experience and commitment to addressing the challenges facing Ghana position him as the best candidate to lead the nation.

In an interview on Channel One TV on Monday, October 7, Mr Agyepong highlighted Bawumia's track record in public service, particularly during his tenure as Vice President, where he played a crucial role in implementing key policies aimed at economic development.

He noted that Bawumia’s ability to connect with the electorate and understand their needs would be instrumental in garnering support for the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

Mr Agyepong also addressed the party's ongoing campaign strategies, asserting that the NPP is well-prepared to engage voters and present a compelling vision for Ghana's future.

He pointed out that Bawumia's policies focus on innovation, job creation, and improving living standards, which resonate with the aspirations of Ghanaians.

As the December 7 elections approach, Agyepong urged party members to rally behind Bawumia and work collaboratively to secure victory.

He believes that with unity and determination, the NPP can overcome challenges and reaffirm its mandate to lead the country towards a prosperous future.

“Every vote counts, the chances that he will chirp at your votes is important. That is something that confronts us, but that is something we have to deal with. We continue to work hard.

"You have your competitors but you have to focus on your lane and be hard-nosed and run your best. Because it’s too late now to try to reach out. I was very hurt that happened, but it has happened, we have to deal with it and fight through the elections."

“I’m very confident that the record of the party especially around the country, the request of the communities, things that matter to people. If you look at the infrastructure that has been delivered.

"Of course, the far-reaching policy of the Free SHS, which has impacted every household, and places that haven’t seen [asphalt roads] before have seen it."

“The health facilities that have been brought on board. Facilities that have been completed. these are things that matter to Ghanaians." he stated.
