NDC National Chairman embarks on campaign tour of Volta Region today

Johnson Asiedu Nketiah, National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), is set to embark on a four-day campaign tour of the Volta Region.

The tour, which begins on Tuesday, October 8, is themed “Resetting Ghana: Jobs, Accountability, Prosperity.”

It will kick off in the Hohoe Constituency, where Mr Nketiah will engage with the Ahado and Atebu communities in a series of interactive meetings.

A press release signed by the Volta Regional Secretary of the NDC, Mr James Gunu, and sighted by the Ghana News Agency (GNA), outlined that this tour is part of the party’s intensified nationwide retail campaign.

The goal is to secure a decisive victory for Flagbearer John Dramani Mahama and the NDC parliamentary candidates in the upcoming December 7 General Elections.

“Hon. Asiedu Nketiah will engage with traditional rulers, religious leaders, fishermen, traders, market women, Okada riders, and the youth,” part of the release stated, emphasizing the chairman’s focus on grassroots mobilization and community-level engagement.

According to the release, the tour aims to energize the NDC’s base in the region, attract undecided voters, and galvanize broad support for the party’s transformational agenda.

Key campaign promises and flagship projects from the NDC manifesto, including the “24-Hour Economy” initiative, the creation of the “Women’s Bank,” and the “Youth in Apprenticeship Program,” will be major talking points during the chairman’s meetings with various stakeholders.

Additionally, the NDC has earmarked several development projects specifically for the Volta Region, which Mr. Nketiah will discuss in detail.

These projects are expected to have a significant impact on the local economy, providing jobs and promoting economic prosperity across the region.

On Wednesday, October 9, he would focus on the Afadzato South, Kpando, and North and South Dayi constituencies.

On Friday, October 11, the chairman would visit Ketu North, Ketu South, Anlo, and South Tongu.

The final day of the tour, Saturday, October 12, would take Mr Nketiah to Ho Central, Agortime Ziope, Akatsi South, and Central Tongu constituencies, where he would round up the four-day campaign.
