After an incredible win as Female Dancehall Artiste of the Year at the Ghana Reggae Dancehall Awards last year, emerging artiste Aklerh has earned another major achievement: an endorsement from international reggae-dancehall star Stonebwoy.
In an interview with OkayAfrica, Stonebwoy praised Aklerh for her undeniable talent, calling her "an act to watch out for" in the Ghanaian music scene.
The endorsement follows Aklerh’s breakthrough victory at the maiden edition of the Ghana Reggae Dancehall Awards, where she was celebrated for her contributions to the genre.
Aklerh’s recent success, along with this high-profile endorsement, signals a bright future for the dynamic artiste, who continues to impress audiences with her powerful vocals and bold performances. Her excitement about these achievements is palpable: "Winning the award was huge for me, but hearing Stonebwoy recognize my work? That’s the next level. I’m ready to keep making Ghana proud!"
As Ghana’s music industry continues to evolve, Aklerh is cementing her place as a leader of the new wave of dancehall artists, and all eyes are now on her next move.
She currently has an EP dubbed Dancehall Queen out on all streaming platforms in addition to several singles.
