MTN Ghana has introduced a range of tailor-made products and services aimed at better serving the oil and gas sector, as well as small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in Ghana.
These offerings were unveiled at the Local Content Conference and Exhibition in Takoradi.
Godwin Adzimah, acting Senior Manager at MTN Ghana’s Enterprise Business Division, disclosed that the company understands the unique challenges faced by businesses in the oil and gas sector and SMEs, which led to the development of the new service, Yello Biz.
“Yello Biz is an integrated solution that offers broadband internet services, Microsoft 365 licenses, unified communications, and web-based tools that enable MTN to create websites for businesses within 72 hours,” Adzimah stated in his address at the Executive Business Connect session.
Participants at the session were introduced to MTN’s digital transformation tools and connectivity solutions, designed to enhance operational efficiency across various sectors. Adzimah further emphasized MTN Ghana’s commitment to local content development.
"As a major player in Ghana's telecommunications industry, our participation in this programme underscores our dedication to supporting local businesses and contributing to the national economy," he added.
Egbert Faibille Jnr, CEO of the Petroleum Commission, also highlighted the wealth of opportunities within the oil and gas sector, calling for partnerships between local businesses and industry players. "We encourage local companies to position themselves for bidding next year. The Commission is ready to support those prepared to contribute to the sector's growth," Faibille stated.
