Medeama SC will aim to retain the top spot in the Ghana Premier League when they host Kpando Hearts of Lions at the TnA Stadium on Saturday, October 5, 2024, in a Matchweek 5 encounter.
The former Premier League champions have had a perfect start to the season, winning three out of three matches, and currently lead the table with a game in hand.
Under head coach Nebojsa Kapor, the Yellow and Mauve side has scored four goals and conceded just one, which came against Basake Holy Stars in Matchweek 4.
Meanwhile, Hearts of Lions have also enjoyed a solid start under coach Bashiru Hayford. Unbeaten so far, they sit third with six points, recording one win and three draws while scoring five and conceding three goals.
The visitors boast an impressive unbeaten run of six consecutive away games, including their 1-0 victory over Medeama in their last Premier League encounter.
Medeama will be mindful of this threat as they prepare for what promises to be a fiercely contested match.
