Erastus Asare Donkor, a seasoned journalist with the Multimedia Group Limited, has been awarded Best Reporter on Illegal Mining at the 28th Ghana Journalists Association (GJA) Media Awards.
The event, held on Saturday, September 28, 2024, recognised his outstanding contributions to investigative journalism, particularly in his reporting on the illegal mining crisis in Ghana.
Erastus has been at the forefront of exposing the devastating environmental and social impacts of illegal mining, locally known as "galamsey."
