The Governing Council of the Centre for Social Justice (CSJ) has appointed Dr. Amanda Coffie as the new Council Chair, effective October 1, 2024.
She succeeds Dr. Sodzi Sodzi-Tettey, the founder and inaugural Council Chair, who played a key role in shaping the think tank’s mission and impact.
Dr. Coffie currently serves as the Lead for Country Programs Research at the Mastercard Foundation.
Before this, she was a Senior Research Fellow at the Legon Centre for International Affairs and Diplomacy at the University of Ghana.
Her career has been centred on promoting social justice, grounded in evidence-based research and aimed at driving transformative change, especially for marginalized communities.
The Centre for Social Justice, along with its Council, Fellows, and Members, warmly welcomes Dr. Coffie.
Her leadership is expected to guide the organization in continuing its vital work of advancing social justice across Ghana.
