The 11 Democracy Hub protestors who appeared in court today have been remanded into police custody.
They are expected to reappear in court on Thursday, September 26, 2024.
All of them pleaded not guilty to conspiracy to commit crime.
This brings the total number of demonstrators remanded by the Accra Circuit Court to 50.
Lead Convenor of Democracy Hub, Oliver Barker-Vormawor, and Funny Otoo could not appear before the court today, as police indicated both were ill and receiving medical attention.
The 11 demonstrators, like the 39 remanded earlier, were charged with conspiracy to commit a crime, unlawful assembly, causing unlawful damage, offensive conduct conducive to the breach of peace, assault on a public officer, and one additional charge.
