Some social media users have lashed out at Ghanaian musician Stonebwoy for promoting his new song 'Jejereje' in the wake of arrests of some individuals protesting against illegal mining, popularly known as 'galamsey' in Ghana.
While the artiste is pushing the song and some music lovers are expressing their fondness of it, other critics believe that the timing for the release was not right.
They have asserted that he could rather have used the time to support the call for 'galamsey' to be stopped in Ghana.
This comes after some activists who took to the streets of Accra to protest against the destruction of the environment through illegal mining, got arrested.
There have since been calls by some citizens (including celebrities) on the police to release these activists.
