Days after the "Stop Galamsey" protest organised by the Democracy Hub, more videos from the event are circulating online.
The latest video captures the dramatic moment when the leader of the Hub, Oliver Barker-Vormawor, jumped on a motorbike to evade arrest.
The amateur footage shows police officers walking in a line toward Mr Barker-Vormawor. Anticipating that the police aimed to arrest him, he quickly signaled a motorbike rider to start the bike.
As the motorist slowly began to start the engine, one of the police officers started running toward the Democracy Hub leader.
Mr Barker-Vormawor then jumped on the bike. Just as he was about to be grabbed by the officer, one of the protesters pushed the policeman back. The officer almost lost his balance but quickly regained his footing—by which time the motorist and the leader of the Hub had already escaped.
