The Chief Operations Officer of The Multimedia Group, Ken Ansah, has expressed his excitement about the return of the JoySports Invitational Tournament, emphasising the significance of the event in fostering networking and promoting health among corporate organisations.
The tournament, which is known for being Ghana's biggest corporate sports event, is set to make a grand return on 26th October 2024, after a brief hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
It was officially launched on Tuesday, 24th September 2024, during a live broadcast on The AM Show (JoyNews), Prime Morning (Joy Prime), and the Super Morning Show (Joy FM).
During the launch, Ansah said, "The JoySports Invitational Tournament is the biggest corporate sports brand. When it's coming up, you need to get very prepared, and as host, you need to be in good shape for what is ahead."
He highlighted the importance of the tournament, not only as a sporting competition but also as an opportunity for corporate entities to come together for networking, brand exposure, and fitness.
"We bring all corporates on board. We get them together to network, we get them together to expose their brands, and we get them together to also exercise and keep themselves healthy as they pursue their corporate goals," he noted.
Reflecting on the break caused by the pandemic, Ansah admitted it was difficult to put the tournament on hold, but he is excited about its return.
"In times like this, I must say it was a bit worrying that we had to rest the Invitational for a while, but I am very excited that we are back. Coming back in 2024 after a bit of COVID, it's a good time to get ourselves rejigged."
The 2024 edition promises a day filled with sporting activities, with several CEOs and corporate teams expected to compete and showcase their athleticism and teamwork.
"All the activities are coming on board, and so many CEOs are coming in to show what they have and what they have been doing behind the scenes. Let's go corporate!" Ansah concluded.
The JoySports Invitational Tournament remains one of the most anticipated corporate events in Ghana, offering a perfect blend of competition, camaraderie, and corporate pride.
He was joined by the CEO of Salphoda Ventures, Mr Adolf Adjei, and CEO of Emigoh Ghana, producers of Yomi Yorghut, Stephen Eku for the launch.
