Former President and flagbearer of the opposition National Democratic Congress, (NDC), John Dramani Mahama, has cut sod for the construction of a 500-seater capacity ultra-modern sports complex in Bole in the Savannah Region.
The facility, when completed, will provide a wide range of benefits to the youth and the general public in Bole and across the Savannah Region.
The project is being funded by the former President and flagbearer of the NDC.
The sports complex is expected to be an AstroTurf with a sports dressing/changing room, restroom, and washrooms for sportsmen and women.
It will also contain a volleyball and a tennis ball court with a swimming pool embedded including a basketball pitch and car terminal.
The edifice is expected to be completed before the end of this year.
The NDC flagbearer, John Dramani Mahama, urged the contractor to put in place all necessary measures to make sure the facility fits the highest standard of its kind.
The project is being facilitated by the Member of Parliament for the Bole-Bamboi constituency, Yusif Sulemana.
The former President was joined by Chiefs and elders from the Bole traditional area for the sod-cutting ceremony.
