Following the arrest of over 40 demonstrators on Sunday, September 22, the streets leading to 37 Military Hospital and the El Wak Sports Stadium have been left empty.
Protesters failed to show up for the third and final day of their demonstration on September 23. Nonetheless, there's heavy police presence to forestall any eventuality.
JoyNews' Maxwell Agbagba reports that as of 11:50 am on Monday, only two individuals had shown up with placards.
He said these protesters stood about 30 meters away from the police barricade, shouting "Stop galamsey."
Subsequently, these two individuals were arrested by the police and transported to the central police unit.

The protesters say that since they are being prevented from demonstrating physically, they will carry the protest to social media.
Meanwhile, the police have declared one of the leaders of the demonstrators, Oliver Barker-Vormawor wanted after several demonstrators were arrested for various offences on Sunday.
Despite the police announcing a manhunt for him, Mr Barker-Vormawor claims he's not in hiding and is ready to cooperate with the police.
