Hearts of Oak boss Aboubakar Ouattara has asked fans of the club to keep calm and believe in the long-term project he hopes to build.
The Phobians recorded their first win of the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League season when they defeated Bechem United at the University of Ghana Stadium on Sunday, September 22.
Prior to the win, Hearts had suffered back-to-back losses in their first two games of the new season against Basake Holy Stars and Heart of Lions.
The two defeats led to fans calling for the dismissal of Ouattara who is keen on turning things around at the club.
"Hearts of Oak does not belong to me," said the head coach after the game against Bechem.
"Hearts of Oak has a big project. The project is to build a strong team to go and conquer, not just to win for the sake of it."
He also admitted to making changes to the setup that cost him points against Lions in their second league game of the season.
"I made changes against Lions, and it did not work," he added.
"Today, I kept faith in the team, and they responded well. It shows that we are human, but also that I am learning from these experiences and not repeating mistakes."
Hearts will travel to Nations FC on the next match day looking to build on their win over Bechem.
