Hasaacas Ladies enjoyed a winning start to the 2024 Women's Premier Super Cup on Saturday as they defeated Faith Ladies in Group A in the opening game.
Veronica Baah Kumah scored the game's only goal as the Ghana Women's Premier League champions defeated Faith Ladies 1-0 in an all-Southern Zone affair.
The game, played at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence in Prampram, saw the Hasmal Ladies return to action for the first time since their involvement in the CAF Women's Champions League Qualifiers.
Also in Group A, Northern Ladies ran riot against Supreme Ladies as they claimed a 3-0 win to go top of the standings.
Abdulai Bintu scored a brace while Mary Rose Akuni was also on the scoresheet for last season's Northern Zone runners-up.
Group B saw Ampem Darkoa Ladies pick up a vital win over Dreamz Ladies while Police Ladies sealed a 1-0 win over Berry Ladies.
Mary Amponsah scored a hattrick for Joe Nana Adarkwa's side in the 4-1 victory over Dreamz.
Matchday two of the competition is on Monday, September 23.
Hasaacas face Supreme Ladies while Faith Ladies are up against Northern Ladies.
Group B will see Berry Ladies battle Ampem Darkoa Ladies with Dreams Ladies going head-to-head with Police Ladies.
