The Speaker of Parliament, Alban Bagbin, has expressed confidence in the position of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) on the 2024 electoral ballot, encouraging party members to view the number eight as a symbol of good fortune.
His comments come after the NDC secured the eighth spot during the ballot draw conducted on September 20, 2023, for the upcoming general elections.
In a statement shared on his Facebook page, Speaker Bagbin emphasised the significance of the number eight, describing it as an “excellent” position for the party.
The Speaker's official Facebook page has in recent times shared content that highlights the NDC and its Presidential candidate, John Mahama.
He was also seen at the launch of the party's manifesto for the elections.
