Ghana Premier League debutants, Vision FC, will look to continue their impressive start in the Ghana Premier League when they host Legon Cities in Matchweek 3 at the Nii Adjei Kraku II Complex on Saturday, September 21, 2024.
Vision FC remain unbeaten, having held Berekum Chelsea to a goalless draw at home and secured a remarkable 2-0 win away against last season’s breakout team, Accra Lions.
Nana Agyemang's squad has proven their Premier League credentials with a fast-paced start to life in the top flight.
The "Ewoo" boys will be aiming to build on their momentum and keep another clean sheet as they prepare to face Legon Cities. Despite their strong start, head coach Nana Agyemang is not underestimating the challenge ahead.
“I expect the game to be difficult, of course. Legon Cities are a very good side, coached by the experienced Paa Kwesi Fabin, someone I know very well,” he said.
“Every wounded lion is still a lion. They’ll come in wanting to bite… I expect them [Legon Cities] to put up a very strong fight, even though it’s on our home ground.”
Meanwhile, Legon Cities are still seeking their first points of the season after suffering a 2-1 loss to Bibiani Gold Stars and a narrow 1-0 defeat to former champions Medeama.
The visitors will be looking to turn their fortunes around when they visit Vision FC, with hopes of improving their defensive structure.
Legon Cities currently sit in the relegation zone with zero points, having conceded three goals while scoring just one.
This will be the first-ever meeting between Vision FC and Legon Cities in the Premier League.
The match kicks off at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday at the Nii Adjei Kraku II Sports Complex in Tema.
