How it all started
The journey to the grand stage began with a pre-selection phase, where 16 ladies were selected from social media, based on the overwhelming responses received from the tag your queen social media engagement. This was followed by an open audition, at the Tigon Studios where hundreds of ambitious young women from across Ghana put their best foot forward, vying for a chance to join the elite ranks of Miss Malaika Ghana delegates. In the judges seat were our esteemed past queens, Hammamat Montia (Miss Malaika Ghana 2006), Sharon Cofie (Miss Malaika Ghana 2012), and Naa Oyoe Quartey (Miss Malaika Ghana 2013) who helped select the best from the lot.
From the many, 30 were chosen to undergo rigorous training at the Miss Malaika Ghana finishing school—a transformative experience designed to refine their poise, polish their public speaking skills, and elevate their overall presence. Here, they learned the subtleties of high-fashion walks, the nuances of engaging interviews, and the importance of using their platform to advocate for causes they believe in. The result? A cohort of confident, articulate, and graceful women, each ready to shine in her own unique way.
